Our process is built to keep projects calm and moving. You’ll always know what we’re building, what it costs, and what we need from you. Most work follows the same rhythm whether it’s a new website, a custom plugin, or a companion phone app.
We start with a short call. You tell us what you want your site or tool to do. We ask a few practical questions and collect any examples you like. If you’re not sure yet, that’s fine—plain language is enough.
What we cover:
Your goals and the problems you want to solve
Must-haves vs. nice-to-haves
Any deadlines on your side (launches, events, seasonality)
Budget range so we can shape the plan to fit
What we need from you (if available): logos, brand colors, any copy or photos you already have, and links to sites you admire.
Within a few days, we send a one-page plan in normal language. It lists the pages or features, the timeline range, and a price range. You’ll see exactly what’s in scope and how we’ll measure “done.”
What’s inside:
Short project summary in your words
Pages and features we will deliver
Timeline (start, key checkpoints, target launch week)
Price range and payment schedule
What we need from you and when (copy, photos, approvals)
Risks or unknowns we should watch
If the plan looks right, we lock it. If something needs adjusting, we edit the page and sign off when it feels right.
We set up the project and agree on a few simple rules:
One owner on each side. Clear decisions, fewer crossed wires.
Weekly updates. We send a short note on progress, what’s next, and any open questions.
Where we talk. Email by default; a shared workspace or chat if you prefer.
Where to find things. We keep links to drafts, assets, and approvals in one place.
We also confirm access (domain, hosting, current site, app store accounts) and set a shared calendar of checkpoints.
Before we build everything, we show early versions so you can react while changes are still easy:
Sites: a quick layout of key pages with real or sample copy
Plugins: a simple screen that shows the main flow
Apps: a tappable preview you can try on your phone
You’ll see the idea working, not just a picture of it. You give feedback in plain English; we adjust and keep moving.
We build in short, steady cycles. You’ll see updates each week so there are no surprises. We aim for clear, working progress, not long gaps.
What you can expect:
Pages filling with real content
Features appearing one by one (bookings, paywalls, directories, memberships, etc.)
Small questions along the way so we don’t guess
A running list of what’s finished and what’s next
We set aside time to polish and make sure real-world details feel right.
What we test:
Forms, checkouts, bookings, and logins on phones and laptops
Email receipts and reminders (copy, tone, links)
Speed on a normal connection (not just a studio network)
Clear headings, buttons, and labels so visitors don’t stall
You’ll get a short review link and a simple checklist to approve. If we missed something that was in the game plan, we fix it.
We pick a quiet launch window, switch on live payments (if any), and publish. We stay close for the first days to catch little snags.
What happens at launch:
Connect your domain and basic analytics
Turn on payments, email, and any third-party tools
Final smoke tests on key paths
A short “what’s new” note for your team
We’ll walk your team through the tasks they’ll do most—editing pages, posting updates, managing bookings, issuing refunds, adding listings, or sending notifications. You get a short guide in normal language. If you hire new staff later, we can retrain them.
If you want us to keep things healthy, we’ll handle updates, backups, and small fixes on a simple care plan. You’ll get a short monthly note: what we did, what we saw, and what we suggest next.
Weekly update: a short message with progress, upcoming work, and any blockers
Office hours: quick calls as needed for decisions that are easier to talk through
Response time: same business day for urgent issues, within one business day for everything else
One list of tasks: so nothing gets lost or duplicated
One point of contact who can gather feedback and confirm approvals
Copy and images we can start with (even rough drafts help)
Fast answers to short questions so we don’t stall
Timely approvals at checkpoints—this keeps the timeline honest
If you’re busy, we can write draft copy and pick photos that match your brand. You’ll still have the final call.
Ideas grow. When you ask for something new, we’ll do a fast check:
If it’s small and fits the current timeline, we add it.
If it’s larger, we’ll price it as a clear add-on with a new date.
If it pushes the launch, we’ll offer a “now vs. later” plan so you can choose.
No surprises, no vague bills.
These are typical ranges. Your plan will include dates for your project.
Starter website: 2–4 weeks
Business website (with a few custom features): 4–8 weeks
Custom website (deeper features/integrations): 8–12+ weeks
Lite plugin: 1–3 weeks
Standard plugin: 3–6 weeks
Advanced plugin: 6–10+ weeks
Companion phone app (essentials → advanced): 6–24+ weeks
Your one-page plan includes a price range. Once we lock scope, we give you a clear number and schedule. Most work follows this pattern:
40% to start
40% at feature complete (before launch)
20% at handoff
Smaller projects may use 50/50. Ongoing care is billed monthly.
You own your site, your plugin, your content, and your data. We set everything up under your accounts and hand over all logins. If you move hosts or teams in the future, your project goes with you.
We keep regular backups and avoid risky changes on busy days. We ask before touching anything sensitive, and we never share your information. If something looks off, we pause and check with you before proceeding.
Life happens. If you need to pause, we’ll park the project neatly with notes and pick it up when you’re ready. If dates shift a lot, we may adjust the timeline when we restart so we can give you focused time again.
If something we built doesn’t match the plan, we fix it. After launch, we include a short warranty window for issues that pop up as real users arrive. Beyond that, our care plans keep things up to date and running smoothly.
We don’t have copy or photos yet—can we still start?
Yes. We can begin structure and layouts, draft copy, and gather placeholders while you finalize content.
Do you migrate old content?
Often, yes. We bring over what still serves you and retire what doesn’t—without breaking links.
Can you work with our in-house team or agency?
Absolutely. We’re happy to coordinate roles and timelines so everyone stays in step.
What happens if a third-party tool changes?
We adapt. If it’s a small change, we handle it in the build. If it’s larger, we’ll outline options with costs and impact.
Ready to start?
Tell us—in your own words—what you want your site or tool to do. We’ll reply with a one-page plan, a quote range, and a clear timeline.
You tell us what you want your site to do. We design and build it as a plugin—clean, fast, and simple to use. Need an app as well? We’ll make your WordPress the point of truth so everything stays in sync.
